November is National Diabetes Month, a time when communities across the country team up to bring attention to diabetes. National Diabetes Month occurs every November, with World Diabetes Day on November 14.
November has been designated for diabetes awareness since 1975, according to the American Diabetes Association (ADA). But it wasn’t officially recognized until the early 1980s. For more than 40 years now, November has served as a time where organizations, people with diabetes, caregivers, loved ones, and other advocates rally to shine a much-needed spotlight on diabetes. This helps drive research and potentially even saves lives!!
I want you all to celebrate with me by eating healthier this month! Now, I'm not saying forsake your holiday meals, I'm saying let's work together by choosing healthier options, so our loved ones stay with us a little while longer and we get to eat good and look good while doing it. Donate to the causes if you can, share a service (or two) that we offer with a loved one who can use it, and above all advocate for those with diabetes.
Stay well, National Diabetes Month and beyond!
Each October, people all over the world show their solidarity and support for everyone affected by breast cancer. Even without the challenges of the last 18 months, living with breast cancer has never been easy. Because I deeply care, to show my solidarity, I carry breast cancer ribbons with me daily and give them to others to promote treatment and education.
As a healthcare agent and insurance provider, I pride myself in accelerating information and resources to those in the community. I'm dedicated to educating others about secondary breast cancer. Providing tailored support to clients affected, researching kinder treatments, and fighting to make sure you’re heard – every way we can. It is essential that breast cancer research and treatment continue all year round and women are educated on treatment and practices. This month, I am committed to showing others that no matter who you are, whatever your experience of breast cancer-- Graysway is always with you.

Millions of Americans have yet to be vaccinated and while they are struggling over the choice to get vaccinated, lawmakers all over the country are using these data points to push voting restrictions laws that suppress the same populations' rights to vote!
This spread of false information with a mix of truth, has caused the U.S. to fail to reach a high enough level of vaccination to achieve “herd immunity” because vaccine demand is falling. While only months ago, it was hard to get an appointment, now vaccines are widely available and people just aren’t getting them.
We must acknowledge why plenty of people are abstaining from the vaccine:
In turn, we all must encourage those we know to get vaccinated and register to vote. If we collectively vote for politicians who support practices that propel our communities, we can see progressive change and perhaps, herd immunity.
How many of you have said you don't need insurance or I don't want anyone to be rich when I die? Well, you do need insurance and it doesn't help your familly or beneficiary get rich when you pass on!
